The conference is open to road sector stakeholders, international Roads Fund administrations, government officials, development partners, private sector, academia, and civil society representatives.
The conference welcomes approximately 200 participants including international Roads Fund administrations, Ministry officials (roads, transport, finance), Road Agencies, Local Government Authorities, oversight institutions, Development Partners, academia, research institutions, private sector contractors and consultants, civil society, road user representatives, and RFB Board members and Management.
The three-day conference (February 9-12, 2026) includes keynote addresses on "Dedicated Road Maintenance Financing: Global Experience 2000–2025" and "Next 25 Years: Transforming Road Asset Financing for Sustainability and Resilience", technical presentations, panel discussions, exhibitions of projects financed by the Roads Fund, donor/partner exhibitions, and an award ceremony. The detailed agenda will be shared with registered participants.
The conference will be held at the Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC) in Arusha, Tanzania from February 9-12, 2026. Accommodation recommendations and travel information will be provided to registered participants.
The conference aims to commemorate 25 years of the Roads Fund, showcase contributions to road preservation and socio-economic development, recognize stakeholder efforts, share lessons and best practices, discuss future challenges in sustainable road asset financing, and outline strategic priorities for the next phase of Tanzania Roads Fund management.
